About Us
Welcome to the New Montgomery Internet Exchange (MGMix). The MGMix has always been a unique network owned by the City of Montgomery in collaboration with Montgomery County and Maxwell Air Force Base. The Exchange has played a major part in providing access to the City of Montgomery with members such as WOW, Alabama State University, Auburn University Montgomery, Hurricane Electric, Montgomery County Commission, Google, and Meta.
The new MGMix goal is to continue to provide access to our current members and adding new members while offering speeds of 10G, 40G, up to 100G connections. MGMix is expanding its peering fabric to the new Auburn Internet Exchange (AUBix) with 100G redundant connections. We are also peering with Alabama Lightwave, Inc. where they are servicing Bibb & Chilton counties.
But it doesn’t stop there! The Exchange is also expanding farther East as well as North, South and West of Montgomery. Our goal is to truly make all your connections,

What's Happening at MGMix?
The Montgomery Internet Exchange has extended it's peering fabric to the Auburn Internet Exchange with 100G redundant fiber connections from AT&T and Spectrum.
Expanding MGMix Data Footprint!
MGMix has now increased it's Data Footprint. We now have 4 locations to store our members & potential members equipment. With locations at 25 Washington Ave. Data Center, 911 Communication Way Data Center, AUBix Data Center and, RSA Data Center. Connected with 40G to 100G fiber speeds providing us with the capacity to store your Racks, Networking equipment, Servers etc.

Promotions
MGMix is now offering Rack Space to members. What does this mean? Members now have the ability to expand their network via the IX. This service will provide the ability to have servers, storage caching and more.
